Just before I broke my clavicle we got in a few good surf sessions. Vancouver island has some pretty rad summer surf, it’s small but fun. Tofino is pretty busy in the summer, full of RV’s but really it’s freaking awesome. These pics are from Canada day weekend and my bday ( and from Maccaw Wa.)

It has been super warm and dry this summer in BC. The scent of wood smoke has been a familiar smell these past few weeks. Last week Crystal Ridge on Blackcomb was struck by lightning and burst into flames within seconds, pretty scary thing. Luckily we live in “BC’s future” and they got all fire team on site asap, and got the fires under control.

 Well if you didn’t know I broke my clavicle on July 8, a pretty bad fracture. It has almost been 4 weeks now and it’s getting there slowly. I like crashing on snow way better than rock, rock hurts more! I guess it’s a the small price (or big) we pay to live in this magical place we call Whistler. But you know what it could be worse, at least I still have my arm!
